I have to say that this is even better than I expected. They lovingly run through this amazing song set. A funny thing happens though... We are soooo used to hearing the Beatles versions of all these songs that we perhaps take this piece of musical art for granted after all these years. Hearing Beatle-files Cheap Trick delivering the goods takes you out of that experience and makes you realize once again how amazing these songs really are. The performances remain very faithful to the originals by and large but they are still Cheap Trick, and don't lose their identity at all. They are backed up by a small orchestra and additional musicians and singers which enable them to keep the arrangements we know and love. Ian Ball from Gomez stands out as a guest singer, (nearly stealing the show!!) Joan Osborn is obviously loving every minute as well. Everyone looks like they are truly enjoying themselves and it's contagious. If you like Cheap Trick, and if you like the Beatles, this is a no brainer win - win!!! Get it!Read full review
It takes a few songs for Robin Zander to warm up and get into it but once in full flight, this Cheap Trick live performance of the Sgt Pepper album is a treat! Highlights include the Indian orchestral arrangement of 'Within You Without You', and the Side 2 Abbey Road medley at the end. Joan Osborne did a great rendition of 'Lovely Rita' and also does all the backup vocals. So glad I got to see this! Very much recommended.

Another home run for veteran rockers Cheap Trick. Not only have they reproduced the entire The Beatles landmark album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" they've infused it with a freshness and vigor rarely seen in today's music. You can tell these guys really love what they do. The band is in top form as usual but the real stand out is lead singer Robin Zander who just seems to get better with age. He sounds unbelievably strong in this performance. The band keeps the chatter to a minimum which lets the music play uninterrupted for most of the performance. The ONLY downside to this show is one of the guest vocalists. I never bother to look for the guys name in the credits but he was your typical "new" artist with messy hair, an amateur voice and carefully coordinated clothes while desperately trying to look like he didn't care how he dressed. The other guest vocalist Joan Osbourne was superb. Overall this live concert is superb entertainment even after repeated viewings. Well done Cheap Trick!Read full review
