Great replacement for an old friend.
I bought this to replace a 500Gb model which died on me. I've had 2 of these for many many years and I just needed to replace one of them. Just a shame it's only 250Gb. Panasonic or Humax
As someone has said, buttons very close so remote cluttered, not used all the functions yet like disk play but what I have found is that it takes quite a tie to perform each function, you almost feel that you have to press the button again. The humax was fast and far more logical to use even though it was over 10 years old, now has given up. Of course the Humax did not play disks which is why I purchased the Panasonic but used as a normal freesat I have yet to get used to the screen info, its not as clear as the Humax, I have also yet to find out how to rewind live tv if I want to check what someone has said, again dead easy with the Humax so its going to take a lot longer to understand all the Panasonic does Graham PS in short the whole workings are long winded and not logical.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Like all the Panasonic equipment I've ever owned this model is not easy to use at first, but once mastered is great. I bought this unit as untested and it took a little while to set up and test its functions but I realise now that I have got a perfectly working unit.
