This satnav has a bigger screen than I expected. It is perfect for a truck or large vehicle driver, however the unit is probably too big really to use in a car (I have used in in a BMW 320 as well as my truck just to test it, and it does block alot of the windscreen due to it's size, so I have to mount it on the passenger side rather than the centre where I would usually put a satnav when using it in my car.) At the end of the day though this is a satnav designed for trucks/buses/large vehicles, and for that purpose it is ideal due to its size and clarity. Speed camera warnings appear to be accurate so far, and it detects average speed camera zones aswell, displaying your average speed whilst you are in this zone. Traffic/road closures dont seem to work so far though, and I cant get it to connect via bluetooth to my phone (Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite) - I had to divert off the M8 the other night into Glasgow and the unit kept trying to get me to turn round and rejoin the motorway where I came off - there doesn't seem to be an easy way to tell the sat nav that a road is closed so that it finds a suitable alternative route. you can customise vehicle dimensions for up to 4 different vehicles so that you can quickly switch between different vehicles without having to manually put the dimensions in every time which is handy. In general i am happy with my purchase - just wish traffic and road closures updated better as it doesn't seem to update this very quickly but that is probably in part due to me being unable to connect it to my phone.Read full review

The one issue with it that seem commonplace are that it simply will not tether to my phone, which makes traffic updates and live speed camera alerts a useless.if TomTom fix this then it'll be a great bit of kit.

Use this every day in HGV or van and its brilliant. I have Live Traffic linked via phone to it as I travel nationally and cant fault it,7" screen is ample size and only time I worry is in London where loose signal due to high buildings and signal loss :0) Highly recommend over Garmin etc...

Dropped my old TomTom and cracked the screen so decided to upgrade. Went for the 'Go Expert' as it is fitted in a larger motorhome and with the older unit had been sent down roads that were not really suitable for the size. Got the Expert configured and running within 30 minutes which I consider pretty good. Probably the only mistake I made was to download maps for all of the EU which took some time, and to be honest probably will not use 10% of what was downloaded. So far do like the Go Expert. Particularly like the 'alternate route' facility on one click which I have used on local roads where I know the motorhome is a bit big. Happy with the SATNAV ?, a definate yes, and would recommend if you have a large vehicle.
