  • A Dylan highpoint

I hadn't heard Blonde on Blonde since the 60's. Hearing it again all these decades later, I realise what a gem of genius it is. Song after song nails it. The sound too is lovely...a kind of "live" feel. In the final analysis, This will be regarded as a high point in Dylan's output.. The Band too is so on it...so in the groove. People used to criticize the un polished nature of Dylan's recordings but this is precisely where their greatness lies. The songs are poetry and not pop songs...the way the language fits the music and vice versa is what gives the whole work staying power. If you've never heard it, or if you've forgotten it, do get this disc. It's like nothing else produced in the 60's.
