The Maxi 5 Finished Second Behind Bruno Saby's Peugeot 205 and Ahead of Yves Loubet's Stunning Alfa Romeo GTV6. However, The Sporting Aspect of the Event was Completely Sidelined by the Tragic Death of Henri Toivonen (Lancia Delta S4) in Special Stage 18.
