Great dash cam at a great price
I love this dash cam. So much so that I purchased a second one for my motorhome. It has everything I was looking for in a dash cam: 4k resolution, GPS, WiFi and it supports a 512GB card. The daytime resolution is great when set to 4k but it does create large files. A three minute file is about 460MB. I haven't tried driving at night so I can't comment on the resolution. The Rove app is pretty good. Allows you to see the videos using WiFi. Unfortunately you don't get to see the GPS info if the file size is too big. The Rove Windows GPS app is much better. Pop the card into the adapter and plug it in. The Windows app integrates Google Maps and as the video plays it tracks your path on the GPS screen. It also shows the date, time, speed and GPS coordinates. I haven't tried editing yet but there is an option. It's a feature packed dash cam at a great price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Yes and no
If you live in hot climate areas like Florida for example then I wouldn’t recommend this camera. The battery that this cameras provide don’t do so well with heat. And since it’s obviously on your windshield it’s going to attract a lot of heat. Had my Rove for about 6 months until I noticed that the screen was like half black because of the heat it was absorbing. This camera is good for its purpose for the time being. Well worth the money and finally caught first accident
After more than a year one finally caught first parking lot accident. I like the .mp4 file format as it was easy to edit in Linux using Shotcut. The owner of the car that was hit will be picking up the video to substantiate a claim that more damage was done than the other driver's insurance may want to pay for. What a hit! I have 2 of these. On one I had the power plug fail so now use a generic cord and plug (OK as second USP port is used to power GPS). Other than that I have been satisfied with the performance. I am recommending to the lady that owns the hit car to purchase one for her own peace of mind. I wonder what the girl will say if she views the hit her Escalade did to a RAV4?

This Dash Cam is loaded with features and especially when you consider the price. I hope the people from Rove do not read this but I think it is worth more than it cost, when you get yours you will see what I mean. The quality of the video is beyond belief both day and night again amazing because of how low cost it is.. I will be giving these as gifts this year no doubt about it. I know 6 people that have the same one I have and they too all love theirs as well. Great little dash cam. It's pretty much plug and play and is full featured like a dash cam at thrice the price. It functions flawlessly as it should. Although it stated refurbished in the ad it arrived packaged as new in every aspect. The warranty is up-gradable to 1 year (same as new) by simply registering the product. LOVE THE PEACE OF MIND
great product. Hooked it up in my Class A Coach and drove 3050 miles over spring break. Had This old lady that decided she wanted in front of me in downtown Vegas. She never looked over at me even when blowing my train horn. She denied everything thing. Said I ran the light when we were sitting at the same light. She tried to bully her way into my lane and clipped my front end. When I showed the footage to the Cop, he told me to have a good day and wrote her a failure to yield ticket. The camera is quality for the money. Just plug it in and go. I bought their hard wire kit and wired it in permanently. All I do is unplug it and put it my car or truck. I will be buying at least one more so I don't have to move it around so much. One last thing. I have bought other cams at 3x's the cost as this one and had nothing but problems with them from the start.
