Thought provoking
An excellent book about love and its consequences with insights into family dilemmas. Both happy and sad but portrays very much the problems gay men faced back then. It does illustrate the nature of friendship in all its forms. If only life could go smoothly according to our dreams. I was deeply touched by the book,; I won't watch the film lest it not be true to the original It did prompt me to reevaluate friends long forgotten....made no difference but I felt better. I do recommend it to all
