A great read!
Having visited Normandy earlier this year I became aware of CSM StanHollis and his bravery on D Day, and wanted to understand more about the man and his life. For me this book is beautifully written, with many testimonials from family, friends, and servicemen, past and present. It made it clear that his D day actions were not just isolated acts of heroism. A great tribute to an understated hero, and fully recommended for anyone visiting Gold beach in Normandy and seeing Stan's memorial plaque.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
