The movie that saved Universal Pictures from bankruptcy.
Movie arrived 3 days early and was as described by seller. Picture and sound are excellent. It has a great story line with fine acting and singing. It is a musical, it is a comedy, it is a love story, it is a good human interest movie. The stellar cast of Allan Jones (Jack Jones father) and Irene Dunne are impeccable. Charles Winninger gives a blow away performance as the Riverboat Captain and father of the love interest. Paul Robeson singing Ol' Man River is the best version there is. The movie will definitely put a lump in your throat. For 81 years this movie has stood the test of time and is not to be missed. Universal was going down the drain from producing bad movies and making bad investments and needed a good movie to stay afloat. This is that movie. Top notch entertainment from start to finish.
