  • Greater purpose for aging athlete

I found this book to be very insightful and a good model for those who are over the age of 50. I have utilized many other programs over the years which were also useful however this issue and brings into clear focus the type of workout plan is that an aging athlete should embrace. I even took each of the different tables and graphs in enlarge them and place them in a binder so that I can have good access to them. Looking forward to what next season might bring now that I am training with a greater level of purpose.

Great book. Interesting ideas and content. Reveals the need for High Intensity Training in an Older Athlete's training plan. HIIT has continued to provide great fitness and strength over the years for me, even before the purchase of this book. With the book are fresh new formats to insert into training.

  • Great book for high performance athletes

For older, high performance endurance athletes this is a great book. For an older person just trying to stay healthy, it is a good book - but one of very few on the subject - so it is still helpful.
