Great manual to have for any pet owner with a four legged friend. :)
Very useful book by Dr. Andrew T. Jones, DVM for the quality of your pet's life and how you can treat a lot of ailments yourself vs having to go to a veterinarian and pay exorbent prices for how you can treat your animal holistically without the use of heavy toxic drugs. Just like the damage of drugs for humans, our pets also receive internal damage from the drugs veterinarians recommend when their is a better way doing it, naturally. The book is very intense with photographs and expert advice and what natural products are out there and the amount needed to be given for the ailment, etc. This book in no way states you should never take your animal to a veterinarian, but for most ailments you can do it holistically/naturally which is better in the long run for longevity/lifespan of your animal than not. Because Andrew T. Jones, DVM, quit practicing, he also tells you in the book what led him to this choice and gives you full documentation as to why he stopped. I think this is an excellent book for anyone who has a pet and wants to keep it healthy holistically vs toxic medication and how any owner can give their pet a full examination. Just like humans who also have a choice when it comes to Cancer for instance to do it holistically with naturopathic doctors or through medical intervention of a toxic drug like chemo/radiation, we can now offer the same choice for our four legged friends versus loading them up with toxicity.
