Besides writing and living in an old very old house with her husband and two cats and two dogs, she has other loves besides. She likes to cook. As an old newspaper journalist, she used to review books, write a column and create Society pages as Society Editor. She won several awards with the Arkansas Press Association during this time. She also has an Associate of Arts Degree from Westark Community College. She was Outstanding Journalism of the Year while there and News Editor of the paper. She also received a degree as an honor student from the University of Arkansas with a BSE Degree in Education with an emphasis on Art Education. She minored in History and English.
