Suitable for use with 12V to 24V lead acid batteries of 30Ah to 180Ah capacity, it features an ammeter to show charging rate, insulated battery clips, carry handle, and shortcircuit, overload and reverse polarity protection. Well made basic dual volt charger
This charger has many review of a positive nature, it is indeed well made and basically simpler than the bench and automatic chargers we already own. When the ammeter indicates zero and the battery is therefore fully charged there should be some written indication as to how long it may be left on to achieve maximum full charge in order the residual current be best conserved, although it does indicate that the machine should not be left charging for more than ten hours. As most batteries used here are 100 amp models it recharged the trial battery in two sessions of ten hours over a 48 hour period but does not have the advantages of the Sealey models which can be left on , the green LED showing when charged and will automatically charge again if the alarm system or modern gimmicks in the vehicle introduce a load sufficient to drop the voltage again. People seem to forget that modern vehicles use certain peripheral installations that will pull the battery down even if no lights are on and the engine is not running . It is nevertheless a superb product as far as value for money is concerned and it certainly does the job for which it is intended without the need for all the bells and whistles as produced by other manufacturers.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A good product.
Works well, all as specified. I was pleasantly surprised at the apparent quality of the product, particularly the charging leads (which are of a good length, as is the mains lead) and clips. Subjectively the switchgear also has a 'quality' feel. A glitch in delivery (resolved) delayed matters, with erosion of the charger feet through the box - it had presumably been bouncing around in a van for the best part of a week - but without any visible damage. Good,but not perfect.
Good quality and well made. Shame about the crocodile clamps, these are to small meaning will only just fit on bare battery terminals. This means if your battery has cables fitted with standard clamps you will needs to remove them to get a good connection.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Well made and a good price.
I bought this to power tools in my garage where there's no mains electricity. I have it attached to a 110amp hr battery and so far its proved more than up to the job. The most powerful motor I've run so far is a 750w sliding compound mitre saw, it ran with ease.
