  • The real truth about flying in Word War II

This is honestly on of the best books I have read by a pilot and experiences in World War II. I bought it to find out about his experience of jet fighters but got so much more. He talks extensively about his time flying Me 110's in The Arctic Circles, his friends, and experiences and then moves onto training on the He162. He dispels many myths and gives a real feel for how many people died trying to master this aircraft. My admiration for him as a pilot grew in that he survived it all. I would heartily recommend this book to anyone who likes aviation. The best book I have read all year
