  • 'Different' notes from a small island?

My only criticism is that this particular edition differs in some ways from the original. Not in any way detracting from the essential narrative. ps I didn't buy the book for myself but as a present for someone else. I did skim through it however and as I have the original I noticed some differences for which I can't explain.

  • Every line richly comic or entertaining.

We need to laugh at this dire time, and laughing at ourselves is a British speciality, which no one does better than the American Billl Bryson. Still very much relevant, as it was when ublished.
