Charge 16 Hours Before First Use
We've had 3 Roomba Reds for 10 years, don't use them on sauce! Ha, ha, ha, poking fun at eBay, with their "Awesome Sauce." At first we were charging the NiCad battery fully, then removing it from the vacuum. Don't know where eBay gets "Potty Mouth" from vacuum? But the Roombas were never ready when needed. The BEST thing to do is leave the chargers plugged in 24/7, then the thing is ready to go and the NiCad will last as long as the vacuum. Original Roombas are 10 years old. We've had to buy expensive NiCad batteries on eBay. (That photo is "Yellow riding a Roomba". I tried to name the doll Amaryllis but our granddaughter named the doll Yellow, and Yellow she will stay.)

Great little helper, fun to watch
This used Roomba 400 works well. Cleans carpets well. Great for collecting pet's hair and cleaning under beds. Easy to use and fun to watch. Pets are not afraid of it - it's not so loud as the upright vac. With my upright I can do the job faster, but it's difficult to get under the furniture and then it's difficult to clean it afterwards, cause it has multiple places which easily get clogged. Roomba is slower (about 25 min for 1 room + couple of hours to recharge), but quite thorough and easy to clean. Highly recommended. Better then new models of other robotic vacuums which can clean only hard floors, not a carpet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
