Nice option for damaged OEM-Not OEM material
For my aging L120 JD mower this was an inexpensive way to cover over some deeply split OEM plastic seat material. The seat pockets in the back are a nice addition & handy for random tools I carry. Fit on my L120 seat is a little large/loose, but not a problem- def not slipping off or anything. Material is not a direct OEM plastic- More of a heavy duty nylon? So, not a waterproof cover that just wipes off, but again, a nice way to extend the life of my existing OEM. Glad I got it, would do it again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It works
I bought this knowing that it would not exactly fit my lawn tractor seat which has some cracks in the plastic of the seat but also knowing that I could sew it to make it fit. With a needle and thread I was able to put some tucks in the fabric and it fits my smaller tractor seat. Fantastic product!
Replaced the JD seats at great expense and a year later they were cracked and deteriorating again. These seat covers are an excellent alternative. Much more durable than the hard plastic seat, and can be removed as appropriate to replace or protect. The pockets in the back were a happy surprise too - very useful. New seat cover restores appearance without the cost of fitting a new seat.
The John Deere medium seat cover fits quite well on a LX 277 tractor. The traditional JG colors and logo have refreshed the entire unit and are much less expensive than a new seat. The original vinyl seat has developed a crack over the years and this solves the problem. The elastic holds the cover on well and it does not slip off when getting on or off the unit. Good Quality and Seat Protection
I've bought one of these for every JD lawn tractor I've ever owned. At under $30, it's cheaper than buying a new seat for sure. It will definitely help extend the life of the typical stock vinyl seat but will not totally guarantee seat cracking from use, age, etc. Has some handy sewn-in rear pockets to hold smaller items like gloves, bags, etc. Worth it if you intend on keeping your machine for 8+ years and want it looking nice later.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
