Does what it's supposed to do. Easy installation.
The frame of my Toro SW5000 has a cut out for the hour meter, so the fit was perfect. The wiring harness already has the connection wires with the proper terminals to mate with the hour meter. The meter also includes clear instructions. Installation took a minute! This meter is "on" when the ignition switch is off, i.e., you can read the hours when the engine is off and the mower parked. I assume there is no significant battery drain. All maintenance instructions are based on hours of operation. So why doesn't Toro include the hour meter? There is good margin in the meter. If you shop around you might save $5 - $10, which is something, but still ends up costing more than it should. Any hour meter should work, but you would have to jury-rig a mount and perhaps modify the connectors. So perhaps this over-priced meter is the better way to go. You need this meter if you want to perform the maintenance as per the schedule.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The New TORO Zero Turn Doesn't Have One of These
If you bought a lower cost big box store mower, this is one place they cut the $$$$ off. No Hour Meter is included. You'll need this to keep track of service records. Easy "Snap-In" installation by home owner. The wire connection is already there ready to plug in. Two minute deal. Shop around, several sources are on line knowing you need one of these, and you can save a few bucks..

Simple to install
First, its overpriced for what it is, that being said,..It does the job. Very easy to install, took me about 2 minutes. Locate the wire connector,its taped to the wiring harness going to the seat switch. Good but has limitation
The dealer was great to work with and very prompt with correspondence and problem solving. The meter was super easy to install but overpriced for what it does. One point to be aware of: The meter does not register time the engine is running. It only registers time that the pto or mower blades are operating. Easy install

Keeps the time
I like the simplicity of this item. One thing to note, keep an eye the first time you use it. The connector must be firmly seated to work. Very good and easy to install meter
Very good meter OME, very easy to install. Took more time to remove the plug that was taped to the the wiring harness than to install. For any one that doesn't get instructions. The meter location is behind the seat. you first look for the wire plug that is taped to the wiring harness. Untape this wire and run it up threw the square hole from the bottom in the cross frame. You plug in the meter were the two pins are than snap the meter in from the top.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
