Used to be good quality - now made with bad materials
I have used these exact pads previously and they only needed replacement after around 3000km's (which takes me about 3 months), the recent order only lasted two weeks and they are almost on the halfway wear line, this can only be that the factory that makes them decided to use a far lower quality rubber / material in this batch. Simply beyond expectation! Yes, they are wearing down fairly quickly ( I think most modern pads do) compared to pads of "years ago!" - but they perform better than I thought a block pad ever could. Dry, wet, clean or dirty rims makes no difference - these brakes WORK - so much so, my son was astounded that I could out-brake him in the wet - his bike has hydraulic discs! Top quality stopping power!
I had not realised how much my old brake blocks had deteriorated through age hardening and contamination until I replaced them with these. The difference is phenomenal and the stopping power is just great. It feels like a new bike. Look good on the bike
Like the look of these pads and they are fairly good in the wet being as they are quite a soft compound. Downside of them being a soft compound is they don't last all that long. I commute 100 miles a week with just two hills I have to go down with a set of lights that are always usually on red so you have to come to a complete stop so heavy use of the brakes. The rest of the journey is flat with next to no brakes needed or very little and I find they only last me about five or six weeks at the most. They squeal like a pig though if you just put them on without making sure you toe them in. That means ensuring they are angled slightly so part of the pad touches the rim first before the rest of it. That's the only two reasons why I have dropped a star for these pads, short lifespan and will squeal loudly if not setup properly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I have used these for 2 time on my old Cannondale adventure 400, i considered those work very well. I am from Nicaragua, i rode dust, light mud, sometime sandy road, few times little rain and finally different temperature condicion so hot untill cold and i can tell those clark pad are good. Great performance but short life
Theses pads have great performance in all weather conditions, just like many other have said. My only reason to drop a star is they wear out VERY quickly. My current set has only lasted me about 6 months/500 miles. I do not ride very much in the wet and since its on my commuter bike I don't ride very fast either and I'm quite light(less than 60kg). They're not expensive either but it just means you'd have to check more frequently for wear and replace more often, my road bike brakes have done over 1500 miles yet with plenty life left even though I ride a lot faster.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent stopping power
Didn't realise how ineffective the existing blocks were until I changed to these on my Hybrid. I am quite heavy and ride a lot of hills and these are really effective both in the dry and particularly in the wet weather as we've had a lot of rain lately and the country lanes are throwing up mud and leaves onto the wheels and brakes but these cope even during long periods of use on long downhills. Very good pads provide great stopping power
These pads are very good whatever the condition, they provide very good stopping power where the only thing limiting braking performance is the tyres. I have used in the wet and even the snow and has never let me down. For me they have lasted only 400-500 miles in mostly dry, although they offer great performance but they aren't very durable.
