Magnetic Vice Jaws
I got these because my Metal vice Jaws damaged some of my projects, these had a softer grip and could be fitted and removed within seconds. The only reason i've given a low rating on the quality is the set that I reserved only had two small round magnets and could easily be dislodged when I'm putting my projects into/out of the vice.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor design.
The jaws are made from good quality, thick, aluminium. The page illustration shows strip magnets, but two small round magnets were on the supplied jaws. In practical terms, with the round magnets, the design is flawed. The magnets have been placed exactly where the metal vice jaw recessed fixing screws are, so that the grip strength is greatly reduced. As the fixing screws are a standard spacing all vices of this size, poor design spoils what otherwise could have been a good product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good product at a good price
This is a good product at a good price. How Ebay used to be!! I would recommend this to anyone who needs some soft jaws on their vice. The only thing that I could fault is that the positions of the magnets just happen to coincide with the fitting screws that hold my vice jaws on to the vice. This means that the magnets want to move one way or the other to get a better hold. I think I am going to have to move the magnets (or fit some more) to a more suitable position. Rubbish Product
Appalling. The magnets are so weak the jaws do not stick to the vice. In fact, they are more likely to stick to each other. The weak magnets mean that the jaws shift about as you try to clamp objects in the vice. My advice is to spend more and get something that works properly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Impressive Quality
I read some of the reviews before buying this item and was not impressed howeever decided to give them a try for the price. I was very surprised at the quality and have found that the item adheres firmly enough to the vice and does not keep falling off as some of the reviews said and is of adequate quality to do the job. Used for BMW Vanos piston.
Product is not designed for every application a vice can be use for. I experienced poor grip from rubber under moderate clamp force (component kept slipping), in addition the aluminium substrate bent around the shape of the piston and rubber lining peeled away.
