Good wireless controller. I managed to get it for under £40. Was straight forward to install it (by a professional gas installer). All works fine as it should. With programable 7 days 24 hours to customise your temperature. But it has it's limitations of course. 1 feature that is missing on the remote controller is an on and off feature. If you want to turn it off, you need to do this on the controller attached to the boiler it self, not very practical if your boiler is hidden away in the loft, luckily mine is within easy reach. If yours is hidden away, maybe you should opt for a hub.

I said I would recommend this product purely because it is good value. However, it does have a few niggling shortcomings. The remote unit has a touch sensitive ring which is used to select functions, make changes, etc. Its sensitivity is erratic and makes it frustrating to use. The temperature response is very slow - takes at least five minutes to respond. I know there is probably some hysteresis programmed into it but the delay seems excessive. Finally, the boiler unit has one strange feature; if you select boiler on rather than controlled remotely, then the boiler runs continuously - there is no thermostat control. With other boilers I've used, selecting the boiler on continuously simply overrides the time settings but still allows the boiler to respond to the thermostat. That being said, for the price, I think it's an okay unit and I like the flexibility of being able to locate the remote thermostat anywhere.Read full review

It was much cheaper to buy this product to upgrade my Worcester boiler to have this wireless, fully programmable thermostat, than it was just to replace the simple mechanical clock which had developed a fault, like for like. It was quite easy to install - it comes with instructions, or you can find guides on YouTube. It works very well - you can choose the target room temperature to kick in at different times of the day, and program different days separately if you want. It will remotely turn the boiler on and off accordingly. It loses one star because there's no simple one-touch override (e.g. for a one hour boost, or to advance to the next change of temperature). You have to select a manual override temperature instead, which remains in force until the next time the program would change anyway (which could be after ten minutes or ten hours). Overall, I would recommend it, either as a repair (like me), or just as an improvement over the basic clock.Read full review

This is a brilliant alternative to Worcester’s own boiler control / thermostat which is at least 5 times the price of the Salus kit. Fitted in seconds, just needs some time to programme the controller. Ignore Reviews saying it was too complicated as it just needs a little patience. Excellent range of 30 meters between the boiler & controller and mine has worked perfectly since set up. Definitely recommended.

I fitted this to my Worcester Bosch boiler without any messing around. The only thing that wasn't mentioned in the instructions (when replacing an existing wired thermostat) is to replace the wire link between the two terminals, in the boiler control panel, that were previously connected to the thermostat. I worked this out easily enough from the boiler manual though. The room thermostat is easy to set up and is flexible as it can be wall mounted or free-standing - and it is battery powered. The backlit display is easy to read and the large temperate display can be read in normal room lighting without the backlight. I'm yet to see how long the batteries last - all I do know is it's at least three weeks!!!
