Works perfectly
My TV will not stretch a 3X4 (old school TV format of a square) to the 16X9 (digital format of a rectangle) on component input (the native output for the Wii is component, the yellow, red and white RCA cables). It will only allow me to stretch the picture to fill the whole screen on HDMI input. This box changes the Wii output to HDMI and does it perfectly. Now I can see my games on the whole screen, without the black bars on each side. It does NOT give me 1080p, because the Wii is not able to output that many lines of resolution. It was built for the old school TV. Yet, with this box, it looks really good anyway.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works like a charm!
I got this because the sound wasn't working on my Wii when connected to my TV with the component cables. After reading many reviews, I decided to take the plunge. I think my TV is 780p. Easy to connect
It's not really 720 or 1080P but I believe that's because the output on the Wii isn't that high. Audio and video is great though. Nothing else needed but the HDMI cable. No need to connect anything to the extra audio port.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
