  • A Guide book well above the ordinary!

The Musee Jacquemart-Andre was a place that was so beautiful that it made my heart sing. It made one of those precious, unforgettable memories of a visit to Paris some years ago.. I purchased a copy of this guidebook while there but could not locate it recently. I finally thought to look for a copy on the internet and was thrilled to find this copy that was exactly like my missing copy. It gives a map of the interior and identifies the paintings, art objects, and furniture pieces in each room of this historic Parisian home along with the history of the home and the family that lived there. The numerous colored photos depict many of the rooms and their contents so one can appreciate the Jacquemart-Andre home even if you cannot go there. It is a great reminder of a visit there, one I believe is a "must" for visitors to the museum home and one that can be appreciated by anyone who loves historic homes and art seen in a home designed to display it. While I would like for some of the photos to be more vivid, they are for the most part excellent. The maps and descriptions of the contents of each of the rooms are excellent also.
