Three Good Keyboards In One
Having bought another tablet keyboard, I was disappointed that it felt so stiff and was too cramped for my big hands. It was light and small, but not much fun to actually use. The Logitech K480 was one of the other choices within a reasonable price band, widely available second-hand. It is a piece of cake to set up, being almost as quick as the dedicated keyboard my tab was designed to use. The stand channel allowed almost any tab or phone to work along with it too. The three device pairing dial made it fantastically useful, pairing with my tab, my phone and my wife's phone too. No problems with connections were experienced ever. The key action is a delight, reminding me of my old Thinkpads, which all had stellar keyboards. The size and shape of the keys matches my training and prejudices too, in that the delete key is large enough to strike without looking, etc. So, why not 5 stars? It is too heavy and a bit too big/thick to become your first-choice for mobile typing - I left it on my desk. The batteries are standard non-rechargeables where a properly designed lithium ion powerpack would have saved size and weight. The on/off button would be far easier to reach on the top face, not the bottom. I think that is it. As long as you can keep it in one fixed location it is a delight. Great features, can sit my Tablet in the top slot for ease of use.
I have only used it a few times, as using with my tablet; a few of the tablet keyboard keys don't work with my prodder for some reason, and as I have a hand tremor, the smaller keyboard is too difficult to navigate. The only negative with the new one, is it's a US keyboard, but I already use one, so know how to get around the pitfalls!
