  • So far so good

I enjoy the power of the Juki TL-2010Q. My old machine struggled to sew through thick fabrics like Cordura 1000 denier and thick seams. It also does very well with 1 ounce ripstop nylon. The only hitch has been that stitches laid in reverse don't quite match those laid in forward. The thread cutter and (presser foot) knee lift saves so much time. Needle up/down responds instantly, unlike some electronic machines, which this is NOT. It has no circuit board that will burn out in a couple years. The stitches have been very consistent. I had to study the needle threader, but it does work. The thread cutter will stop working if lint gets caught up under the pressure plate--just clean when it doesn't cut. 1500 stitches per minute is more than I can handle, but most speeds below that far exceed the 800 or so claimed by household machines. AT low or high speed and every speed in between, the machine doesn't wiggle or rattle--under the plastic cover is metal and guts engineered to run smoothly. I love the table extension. I don't quilt,--it just helps to have a bit more table on my side of the presser foot as well as to the left. The only way this could be better is if I just took a 6' long slab of laminate countertop and made a hole in it to fit the machine. Also the throat is 1-2 inches more than most machines, which would really help quilters with larger quilts. Maybe I wish it had free arm capability, but given its overwhelming advantages over the average or even most expensive electronic machines, I don't miss that much. The bobbin isn't drop in, in front of the presser plate. You have to insert it into a bobbin case and push it in from the left. I just wish it held much more thread than a standard bobbin.

  • Juki TL-2010Q

I've had my Juki for a year now, and I love using it. It's easy to operate and does a lovely job with the stitching! It is a solid machine that should last for the rest of my life, and I'm glad I have it! The two areas where the company could improve this fine machine are: the automatic threader - the one on my machine is finicky, so I usually hand thread my needle the bobbin - the location of the bobbin makes it a bit awkward for me to replace the thread when I am in the middle of a quilting project, and I wish the bobbin could hold twice as much thread! I would rate it 5 stars if not for these two issues. Overall, for the price I paid, I am pleased with the machine and love the way it sews!

  • Great straight stitcher!

I absolutely love this machine! However, it is really finicky on the tension, especially when trying free motion quilting. Does great on straight stitches, but with the same weight and brand thread, upper red, bobbin white, I have yet to get the tension perfected. As with all sewing machines, this Juki does not like certain threads, while others are a breeze.

  • No Negatives Here!

Unbelievable quality machine. I cannot believe i waited so long to purchase. Worth every penny. There is no comparison when sewing on this Juki to any other brand. I have tried most. This Juki satisfies my every sewing need. If i had one thing to change. . It would be make the bobbin a top loader but the performance of the Juki makes that issue trivial. It fast and accurate. Im lovin my new Juki 2010 Q.

  • Juki TL2010Q...great for quilt piecing and free-motion quilting!!!! Great features!

Was up and running in no time...easy manual instructions to fill bobbin and thread machine after it's initial oil maintenance as recommended. I recently started free-motion quilting on a 12 year old Brother machine bought at big box store, and not bad but felt it could be better. With this Juki it improved my quality of free-motion stitching by 100%. I thought I could do better and with this machine....I can and am. Love it, love it, love it...can't say enough good about it. Easy to maintain, sews smooth like a dream and heavy, durable quality. I love the features, thread cutting, needle threading, needle up and down, speed control, foot peddle, extension table. This machine his a nice big throat for fitting quilting projects. I studied many many machines for my quilting and finally decided this is the right one for me. I'm glad I was right with this choice. Excellent quality machine!!!

  • Straight stitching dream machine

Love this machine, such beautiful even stitches through countless layers or just two. It was quite a surprise to find out you had upgraded to the TL-18qvp which is even better. The thread cutting is so quick and really speeds up the sewing. It is also awesome for free-motion quilting. I set the speed I want to go and use one of the special feet and go. Never quilted so evenly. Threading it is very easy, too. I had seen some people have trouble with it, but if you just look at the side, it works very well. Can't recommend this machine any higher than to say you will never be sorry sewing with it.

  • What a powerhorse !!!

My Juki Longarm arrived sooner than expected and is everything I wanted/needed and could afford. I read many reviews and in spite of the many negative comments, decided to order it. If you have used industrial machines before, this machine is going to blow you’re mind. It has the power you need to free motion quilt, with every feature “at hand”, love the side bobbin case, thread cutters (3), knee lifter lever 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, includes the most important feet for sewing and quilting. This machine is perfection!!! Thank you Fabric Hut !!!

  • Love this machine!

I love the Juki TL-2010Q. It is a semi industrial and the best machine I've owned. It is simple, easy to use, and very strong. I will give the instruction manual an F though. I am a lifelong sewer and have owned many machines so I am not a novice. The manual is the worst I have ever seen. They need to start over and create a new one. But once you get past the instruction manual, the machine is terrific. I made a project with several layers of different types of fabric and it sewed through it all without hesitating. I wish it came the 1/4" foot. I found an after market 1/4" generic foot that works well. I feel I will enjoy this machine for many years.

  • I love it except for one thing

I keep on having tension issues. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've adjusted the top tension and still my stitches on both sides don't look quit right. I've tried to do a search on this to see if I can fix it, but no luck so far. I even changed my needle. I'm sewing with 50wt Aurifil thread. I would love to give it a five star rating if it weren't for this one problem. I forgot to mention that I'm just piecing a quilt with high quality cotton fabrics.

  • This machine runs circles around other machines when it comes to straight stitch.

Will sew fast or slow with ease. There is a lot to learn since accidentally stepping on the heel of the foot pedal cuts the thread. And the leg lever to lift the presser foot feels like the "gas pedal" that I learned to sew with in old cabinet models back in the '60's. What I like the most is the ease of starting out slow when sewing. The machine is quite happy to mosey along. Straight stitch is done very well. The only problem that I have in quilting is that there is a bit of a bird's nest on the bottom at starting. I haven't yet experimented to see whether the top or bottom thread is making a mess. The walking foot is a miracle. It has so much more grip than the walking feet I've become accustomed to. No slipping or irregular stitches at all!!! I spent a moment trying out one of the "free motion quilting" feet. Looks like that will work when I get competent at it. The work space to right of needle is only 2 inches bigger than my old machine, but those 2 inches make the space seem twice as big when wrestling a quilt through the space.
