Does the job well
Bought this to cut back my neighbours very tall overhanging bushes and it did the job perfectly. Very easy to use and I particularly liked the fact that it has a safety switch and the adjustable angle of the blades. It was a big job and I did have to take a few breaks whilst doing the job as I am a 65 year old cancer and pulmonary Embolism suffering female so I personally found it a little on the heavy side but am sure that a younger, healthier person would have no problem using it or with the weight!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sturdy product
Cuts well but I am sorry to say that it is a bit heavy to handle. I am only 5ft 5 and found the weight of the blade end make it very difficult to keep level when cutting at height, which is what I got it for.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does the job
Used this twice on high hedges and trees. I don't find it heavy as other reviewers have suggested and it has worked perfectly and done the job. Two problems: a minor one - one of the nuts which are used to secure it in extended mode had a stripped thread on arrival, but I have plenty more and just replaced it; and a bigger one, although described as telescopic, and it is, when assembled and fully telescoped it is still 7 feet long, 6 feet if you turn the cutting head through 90 degrees, which makes it a bit difficult to store unless you want to dismantle it fully each time used. Even then, it's pretty big. But overall I am very pleased with it and it has saved me a lot of trouble with ladders and shears, etc.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Perfect for our tall hedges. It is very heavy as other reviews have said and can only use for 20 -30 minutes at a time. Not too much of a problem for my other half as he is into fitness but older gentleman may struggle with the weight of it. Excellent trimmer for He-men.
This is an excellent trimmer which does exactly what it says on the tin-but, in common with many others of this type it is heavy. The best thing is to plan the work, using this trimmer first to cut the high and hard-to-reach bits, then finish off the lower branches with a conventional trimmer. About 3/4 hour is about as long as is comfortable to use this trimmer, but it can cut an awful lot of hedge in that time. A bit on the heavy side...
Brilliant piece of equipment.. very well made, strong not flimsy at all. Well worth the money. But beware, if you are not very strong this is not for you.. we have found it very difficult to use when fully extended, this was bought for our hedges that are quite tall, but we found it too hard to use. Telescopic pole hedge trimmer.
Quite hard to use as the motor is on the end of the pole with the cutting blades which makes it very unwieldy. Works well
It is fairly quiet which is good, but with all the weight obviously in the motor and blade at one end it is quite heavy to balance when doing the tops of flat hedges horizontally , not so bad when using vertically. It requires strong arms and a strong person. It does the job; but is unbalanced. It neads a better sling support to take the weight and to allow the cutting angle of the cut to go beyond 90 degrees.
