An amazing camera with fantastic features.
Just returned from a bush holiday. Took some great shots that would probably not have been possible with a lesser zoom. This one is amazing. Got many up close photos with some wildlife that would normally run at the sight of people, but with the huge zoom it just wasn't an issue. The fold out screen works well, or using the eye-piece viewfinder is very good if you don't want to constantly open and fold back the view screen. Viewing photos can be done on the screen or through the eye-piece view-finder. Very impressed. I won't go in to the technical details, they don't really interest me. I got many great shots with the SX60. Highly recommended.

Easy to use.. was impressed with the quality of the images ...was able to get a great moon shot with the zoom..its a good all round camera to have when you out and about..I especially love it for nature shots!

Excellent bridge camera
Particularly good image stabilizar. Not in the same class as for pctures with the Panasonic lumix FZ200/300 in low light but just as good in good light. Has a silly switch system for EVF. The NIKON P9 is inferior even though it has an amazing optical zoom. I personally believe the CANON SX60HS is currently the the pick of the superzoom bridge camera's

Excellent features and zoom for a relatively cheap camera.Simple to use. Operators manual has to be downloaded from Canon which is inconvenient as the startup literature supplied is woefully inadequate except for basic auto operations. With the fold out screen closed operation in the dark can be hard.Slightly backlit controls could be a plus in later models
