Excellent Little Tool
I purchased one of these grass hooks with a slight reservation as to whether it was capable of tackling the job I had planned for it but all my reservations quickly disappeared once I received and started using it. It was very light in the hand so I wasn't sure if it would have the weight to cut effectively but it made light work of a seriously overgrown garden populated with every weed you could imagine, some with stems and stalks as thick as a bamboo shoot and it hacked the lot down in a very short space of time. The garden was also very large and the grass/weeds were between knee and hip length and this little hook just tore through the lot with not very much effort due to the strength of the blade, the sharpness of the blade and the serrated edge of that blade. I thought it would catch and hold the grass in the serrations but the excellent balance and action of the tool in the swipe ensured this didn't happen. It cut through grass like butter and everything else with a good, powerful stroke. I paid an excellent price for mine and it's one of the best tools I've ever used and the work it has done so far is immense. I did have to hammer the handle end flat again as the wooden handle did work slightly loose but considering the sheer amount of highly demanding work it completed on the first run, it held together well and with a couple of taps on the handle end to bend the metal end back down it was as good as new. I'd recommend this tool to anybody looking for a strong, lightweight but extremely effective and efficient grass/weed hook to give one a try. You won't be disappointed in just how effective this tool is for the price you might pay for it. It's an excellent little tool and it is very strong and durable, despite how it may look in any ads or photos. An easy 5 stars from me!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Well made but ultimately not up to the job.
Yes it is good quality in that it is well put together and feels solid. However, it tends to pull the grass out rather than cut it. This is probably down to our risk-averse, health and safety overload culture in making sure a user does not cut him/herself - but it's not really much use if it doesn't cut grass cleanly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

good tool but bends out of shape after a day or two of work. But it is really sharp. Very sharp, just be warned please. And I had to fix handle with some tape byt rather than that it is quite what you pay for just dont cut yourself.
