Well made, robust British product
I cannot finf fault with this British made preduct. It is expremely simple to use with comprehensive instructions. I have used it and found that everything it said it would do - it did. My vehicle has stop/start technology and this is what the charger is intender for primarily. However, i understand it will charge other types of batteries as well. The charger tells you when it is switched on, when it is charging, How much charge there is at any one time and when the battery is fully charges. It is an 8 amp charger and charges a low battery to full chrage in about12-15 hours. You can charge the battery while it's still connected to the car. Seems to work really well
I've been looking for a battery charger for some time but could not justify spending £60 + on some of the premium brands so I went for this unit based on it's features, cost and the reviews on various sites all look favourable. So far I've used it on my BMW 330i and TVR400 as both had flat batteries and the unit charged them both without an issue. The LED display is useful as it shows the battery terminal voltage, current output and a % charged indicator (which I assume is based on the terminal voltage rather than the current absorbed by the battery) My only concern was leaving the unit connected for extended periods as this was not mentioned in any of the documentation, however in practice the unit once it completes the charge cycle it does detect a drop in the battery voltage and switch back to charge mode so while not a dedicated trickle charger it will automatically top up the attached battery.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does what it is supposed to do..Ammeter/Voltmeter a useful extra.
As a battery charger it has the edge on other chargers. The inclusion of a voltmeter/ammeter display so that you can see the batteries progression to being fully charged is definitely a bonus. When the battery is fully charged & the charger is in maintenance mode the display switches off which is good. The only criticism is that as it is also a maintenance charger it would have been good to have had an extra lead with a plug & socket to attach to the battery permanently so that the charger can be disconnected quickly & easily instead of just the crocodile clips. This may seem picky but when your battery is underneath the floor with a screwed cover you need a better way of connecting & disconnecting the charger.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fast and Efficient Automatic Charger
A fast and efficient 12v battery charger which adjusts the charging and conditioning cycle automatically depending on the state of your battery. As a guide, the time taken to fully charge a battery is the Amp Hour rating of the battery x 1.5, divided by the Amp rating of the charger (8A in this case). So a 100 Amp Hour battery would take a maximum 18.75 hours. Less if the battery is partially charged already. Indicators inform you of the charging status and other useful information. I bought this to charge our car battery and also a leisure battery. It does both admirably. Simple and easy to use
Don’t let the low price put you off this item, it’s fantastic quality yet is simple to use. Has one simple button and a display to show volts, amps, % charged. Used it to top up vehicle with start stop EFB type battery. I have used one before made by another manufacturer that was three times the price that had 20 different buttons and a complex display.
