Long-range warfare has been effectively stifled by the discovery of Minovsky Particles, which effectively block all radio waves. Undeterred by this technological setback, Earth colonies switch to close range visual battles using "mobile suits," individually controlled killing machines with a variety of features, weapons, and abilities. With voice-overs by actors from the original anime television series providing realism to the action-filled scenarios, Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon expands the ground-based combat last seen in Mobile Suit Gundam: Journey to Jaburo with the addition of space combat.<br><br>The game features more than 200 missions in campaign mode, nearly 20 differently styled mobile suits, each with a unique combination of weaponry and range, and the ability to quickly change orders for computer-controlled allies. Heavily patterned after the Gundam arcade game, players can choose to fight for either side, in cooperation with another human player or CPU allies. Split-screen options let two human players go head-to-head in a four-on-four versus mode, each player paired with a computer ally.<br><br>Customizable options include setting difficulty and attack power (damage) levels in Arcade mode and adjusting time limits in both Arcade and Versus battle modes. Mobile suits feature jump attacks, midair dashes, targeting capability, sub-weapon control, close combat maneuvers like slashing and evading, and a built-in radar screen that depicts ally, enemy, and player locations. Campaign missions are color-coded by five levels of difficulty, and weapons run the gamut from grapple claws and bazookas to rocket launchers, beam rifles, and machine guns.

brought back great childhood memories
Got this game cause I had it when I was 15 and loved it. beat it many times over. Alot of missions on this game. If your a big fan of the gundam universe this game is a must have even though it came out for the ps2.

Big fan of the Anime and the whole idea behind it
I've watched and played gundam for years now, do I'm a little biased on my scoring. The graphics are good for a ps2 game, the gameplay is fun and is addicting. It will eventually become repetitive as most games do. I believe it is a good but for someone who likes the series
