  • More than Just Recipes

Audrey Hepburn's son Luca has put together a delightful collection of rare photos, amusing anecdotes and interesting recipes in this book. You will find pre-World War II favorites served by his grandmother, quick meals Audrey whipped up as a young actress in her first apartment and family favorites from the 60's up to the time of his mother's death in 1993. These are not "fussy" epicurean recipes; they are simply good home cooking, with plenty of emphasis on fresh ingredients. We learn that Audrey was devoted to a good dish of pasta--who would have thought that she was able to maintain her svelte figure eating all that spaghetti? If you enjoy a glimpse into the life of a legendary actress, plus a bevy of recipes suitable for everyday family meals and/or for entertaining, you will enjoy this book. I know I did!

  • Audrey's life in pictures and recipes. Great fun.

Better than just a cookbook. Lots of pictures of Audrey Hepburn and her family and friends. Lots of anecdotes on where the recipes came from, her gardens and places where she lived. I absolutely loved it!

  • Not perfect

The book's edge's were scrunched up a little with the cover, which I wasn't expecting. It makes the book look pretty used.

  • Wonderful!

This is an amazingly charming and informative book that I bought as a Father's day gift for my husband. I can hardly wait for him to look at it!
