Lucas rheostat for variable speed windscreen wipers. From a Rover P6 (2000 1966 to 1970, 1972 to 1974, and 3500 1969 to 1970) and possibly others but please double check fitment - marked with Lucas part number 34672 and dated 1969. Can be used in conjunction with Lucas DR2, DR3, DL2, 6W etc wiper motors. When the rheostat is wired in series with the wiper motor field coil, it will enable the motor to run from slow (same speed as a single speed wiper motor) to fast (same as 'fast' speed on a 2 speed wiper motor)..... and any speed in between.
