In 1963, the author dreamed of a guitar that would outperform any of the existing commercially-made electric guitars; his father had the technical knowledge and skills to help make the dream come true. Brian played his guitar on every Queen album and in all of Queen's live shows around the world. This book deals with this topic.

Author Biography
Although best known to the world as the lead guitarist of supergroup Queen, Brian May has a PhD in astrophysics and is an expert in 3D photography. He co-wrote Bang! The Complete History of the Universe with Chris Lintott and Patrick Moore, A Village Lost and Found with Elena Vidal and Diableries: Stereoscopic Adventures in Hell with Denis Pellerin and Paula Fleming. Simon Bradley has been a guitar journalist since 1996 and he has written hundreds of articles and interviews on all aspects of the instrument, for many magazines and websites including Guitarist, Total Guitar, What Guitar?, Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, Future Music, MusicRadar.com, Brianmay.com, and many more.
Ever since I first read about Brian May's unique innovations on his own-design, home-made guitar over thirty years ago, I've been a huge admirer of both it and him. Discovering quite late that he had brought out a BOOK all about his wonderful guitar, I couldn't wait to get myself a copy of it!
It is a "Must-Have" for any fan of Queen, Brian May, or electric guitars in general - and I would heartily recommend it to any like-minded people!
All the information you will ever need about this legendary guitar!
Great book. Presentable and Very informative. Lots of detailed history regarding the construction. What was missing before in information online and in magazines regarding the Guitar, has now been fulfilled in this book. Lots of photos for reference, although I would like to have seen more on the restoration and also the Guilds and Grecos
The book and its author both rock. The man for whom I bought the book turned out to be stunningly disappointing - not even one star out of five, I have returned him to sender. If he were a rock song he would be something by Axl Rose (on his own).
