Historically inaccurate. Wouldn't reccommend.
Historically inaccurate, who in their right mind would go to Inverness on the 1st of November wearing a thin dress. We are lucky to get one day of Summer a year! O.K. for young teenage girls, but not serious. I got the first three as a gift, but not read them.

Excellent read
Diana Gabaldon knows how to tell a story and the book is satisfyingly long. The books need to be read in order starting with Cross Stitch, then the series draws you into a wholly believable world of romance and adventure.

I love the outlander books as I have the dvd's of the series. I like to read the books before watching the series. The same went for the Poldark books and tv series. A wonderful book and all so believable When I finish this book I hope the next series will be released on dvd. I paid no postage which was a bonus.
