THE MISSING REMOTE !
This item is essential for headphone listeners when their hifi is at a distance from their seating position. I have two pairs of Sennheiser headphones and have been using the lead for a number of years. Unfortunately the casing of the remote part became broken. Currently Sennheiser does not offer this as a separate accessory but is bundled with a pair of lower price headphones. In my opinion this is a mistake and I have been very lucky in obtaining just the remote control extension on its own. It is very neutral in use, so does not colour the sound and you do not hear any cable noise, i.e handling the cable. Will fit all current standard headphone sockets and 3.5mm as well. connecting cable not as advertised and too long
I have found it a useful unit which works well - however the sales description states the item has cable0.8 metres+5 metres whic suggests a split cable which would be excellant for all uses. This is not the case and the unit has only one connecting cable at 5metres which is too long for portable use. Sennheiser quality is always good.
I needed an extra headphone feed for my singer and tried a couple of multi way boxes, so that I could adjust the volume but the quality of these was poor. Godsend for me.
I have used these now for quite a few years and I always make sure I have a spare in the home. I have been partially deaf since birth and these enable me to watch TV at a normal volume as I can adjust each ear to suit my own needs via the volume control. The products is what I wanted??? the fault was with my "eye to brain" connection, reason for this statement is that it appears to be cheaper on Amazon at the price of £29:99 and free delivery so why did I purchase it from this company ??? because at the time the price according to my "eye to brain" read it to be cheaper at £28 pounds + pence when I clicked the send button, It's not until I checked my paypal account that I found the price and appears to be £38:69 for a purchase that I could have got cheaper from Amazon.
