A great buy
I was given a SanDisk MP3 Player as a gift over 10 years ago and it has served me well. Unfortunately, after I upgraded my computer I have been unable to load any new music, which is what prompted me to shop for a new MP3 player. I initially purchase an MP3 player that I thought would be comparable to SanDisk in features and price. However, I experience so much trouble with my computer recognizing the device, and when it finally recognized it, I experienced difficulty loading music to the player because I kept losing connection to my computer. I finally gave up and considered buying another SanDisk MP3 player, which is what I should have done in the first place. I must admit, I was surprised when I opened the SanDisk MP3 player box to see such a small player. My immediate reaction was this little player could prove to be frustrating if someone wanted use this player for streaming. However, in my case, I only use it to listen to music and it is serving me well. In fact, I am amazed and pleased by the sound quality. For me, the only downside is that there does not appear to be a way to add music to a playlist that I created. The only way I have found to do this is by creating a new playlist any time you want to add music. I called SanDisk customer support and they confirmed that my approach is the only option. Expected More
The SanDisk - Clip Jam 8GB* MP3 Player is the right size and it holds securely. However the operational feature is confusing and hard to use. The unit cam without any instructions, yo you are left with a hit ot miss guide of what each button is suppose to do. The sound quality could definitely be better, I'm using Bose earbuds and they are not providing me with the sound quality that I'm use to on another unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Doesn't have some of the features it used to have
My old SanDisk was easier to load playlists. All I had to do was sync with Windows Media Player and I could listen to mt playlists. This one requires making a folder on the computer and moving it to a folder on the SanDisk. It takes less loading time, but more choosing the songs time. Also, on the old player I could pick a genre to listen to. This one doesn't have that. There are few good improvements: The power switch isn't on top, so it doesn't turn off when I go to clip it to my belt or pants pocket. My 4th Sandisk clip
I have older Sandisk clips, and I've been very happy with them. I love the size, and capacity of the Clip jama. I also like the FM radio, and I often walk around the house wearing my clip and listing to NPR. I love my Sandisk Sansa Clip
I didn't pay any attention to dimensions when I read reviews for this so was surprised when I received it -- so much smaller than I expected. I like to listen to music or meditations in bed at night, the size is perfect. Bought this to replace a CD player that was on its last leg. I love that I do not have to plug the Sandisk into an outlet, do not have to buy batteries, can recharge by plugging into my computer, charge lasts a long time Found the User Manual on a Google search. Took a little bit of practice but I can easily load music, switch from music to radio and back. Just plugged it into my computer, it immediately showed up on Windows Explorer, copied/dragged recordings to the Sandisk. Could then organize on the Sandisk. The text is lit on the small screen making i t easy to read, even without my reading glasses which is surprising given the small size. Can scroll through to select what I want to listen to or just let it play automatically. Simple process to store radio stations I often listen to. This is an incredible little unit. My unit is refurbished and so far works fine. I did not care for the earbuds, but had a pair I do like and can use with this. Sansas are great, but bring back accelerating FF/REW feature!
Love the Sansa clip, but now, unlike with older models, rewinding or fast-forwarding is slow and tedious. Older Sansas used to accelerate. Otherwise, the Sansa clip is unparalleled for quality and ease-of-use!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for work walking / jogging. If you want portable, small foot print MP3 player with 8 GB memory (FM radio) that clips to your shirt / t-shirt this fits the ticket. Expandable with a 2nd memory, MicroSDHC , up to 32 GB. I have and still use a SanDisk Clip 4 GB player. Good, but some drawbacks.
The music sounds good and it is easy to load. However, the lock leaves much to be desired. I used to have another Sandisk product that had a separate switch lock and it worked when the music was on and off. The lock on this Sansa Clip Jam only works when the player is on. Best MP3 I bought.
This tiny mp3 player is perfect- I didn't even have to read instructions to use. Downloading music is easy, the batter life so far is excellent played for 5 hours and only lost I batter bar. The sound quality is great. The buds that come with are not good, but there an extra as far as I see it. I search all over for one and desided to get this one, only because I was tired of looking and I'm glad I did. It has shuffle play which is great, you can create play list too. To me it's better then apple ipod, which I had, but didn't like having to use itunes. If your looking for a great Mp3 play that's easy to use for a good price you won't be sorry with this one. Good small dependable MP3 player
This is a replacement for almost the exact same unit I bought 8-10 years ago. The original unit's battery gave up, so I wanted the same thing again. I only listen to music, so screen size isn't important. I hope the battery life is the same as the old one, as I think I only had to recharge it once or twice from ground zero.
