Excellent value
This radio was excellent value, but there are a few niggles: the display is too bright even on low (I put red celluloid in front which makes it about right, but then it's not possible to see the time); the reception broke up a bit when I had the aerial fully extended, but was OK when I lowered it to about half (??). There are a few menus to navigate, but most features are accessed through physical buttons on the top (so you don't keep pushing the radio off the table).

Super complicated
If you live in a poor reception area this item won't work well. But worse than this you will need a degree in alarm radio operation. Being an engineer I understand complex operation but should I need a degree to operate a simple alarm clock radio. If I had any hair left I would have pulled it out. Possibly the most unintuative machine I have ever come across. The build quality is not bad but should you wish to set the alarm at night remember to keep the manual near your bed!!!

Cheap but good quality and well put together
I needed a new radio alarm clock as my old one gave up after 10 years of service! I wasn't looking to spend very much as it is a purely functional item and there was no need for extravagance. It's pretty easy to setup, program and update having read the instructions just once and the sound is pretty decent for a small cheap radio. The DAB stations are crystal clear and I awake everyday to whatever music genre/chat station I desire, great little product.

SMALL, EASY TO USE MULTI MEDIA ITEM
This is an excellent "DAB/FM Clock Radio", was very easy to set up and use, the 2 alarm function buttons saves time resetting the alarm function according to my shifts, good sound and offers the use on each alarm function how you wish to be woken up from the presets you have loaded, i.e. DAB Radio, FM Radio or Buzzer (which itself has two sound functions). Happy to recommend this neat little unit.

Great DAB radio but not perfect in other respects
Works well if rather complicated even to an efficient IT user! Minor problems - backlight is too bright even on "low" so has to be shut off and time is rather small so difficult to read. Biggest problem is I have not yet worked out how to turn the alarm function off and / or tune it to my preferred setting. With eyesight not as good as it was I find it difficult to read the information on the small screen and also to find the correct buttons. However, as a very compact DAB radio it is great and the sleep function is particularly good.

Good value DAB alarm clock/radio
It looks good, sounds good and generally works well, it’s only down side is the backlight is much too bright, fortunately it can be switched off, of course this means if you are the type that tends to check the time if you become restless during the night you would be unable to see the display.

Inferior goods
Do not waste your money on this item as in my opinion it is simply not fit for purpose. The first clock radio wouldn't work at all & it's replacement only lasted for 3 days before developing a fault. In the interests of full disclosure both items were bought as fully checked 'returned goods' designated as B+ quality. From past experience Tesco's are usually of good value & reasonable quality, however in this instance their suppliers have failed miserably.

I really like it!
It would have been better if the backlight was dimmer on the low setting, & also would have liked to have a 120min sleep option, but this is still a great Clock radio!

As an alarm radio it is as much use as a chocolate fireguard!!
Although this DAB Alarm Radio gives an excellent sound it is practically impossible to read it's essential time display. This is even in daylight - let alone at night! Additionally, both alarm and sleep modes have to be very laboriously set each and every night with no previous settings held. This "bargain" is thus a great disappointment and it is definitely not recommended.
