Sore thumbs
If you like spending 30-60 seconds per case, sore thumbs/hands/fingers, and usually inconsistent results when removing crimps from primer pockets, don't get this item. If you like going from 50-75 per hour to 500+ per hour with very consistent results, this is THE tool. There is a small trick to "pop" them off the swage after it's resized the pocket, but you'll pick up on it real quick. This tool will save hours and hours, as well, RCBS's customer service, in my experience, has always been one of the best of all the companies (of any kind) I've ever dealt with. Most RCBS products are in my class of "lifetime" or "hundred year" tools. You only need to buy them once and they will still be working as they did when new, while decades later you've become too old to use them or your children have inherited them. Another Quality RCBS Die
Took the plunge for this with all the military brass showing up at the range in place of commercial. Most reviews for any of these were less than encouraging ( rods breaking, etc.) but I went with this one anyway. I do not regret it at all. The instructions claims to "remove" crimps but I can't attest to that. It does however enlarge them to accept primers just like the commercial brass does. So, however it works, it works. second one after 25 years!
used my first one over 25 years, and the small shaft started bending. rcbs replaced it after I had bought this one(I was too impatient).the new shafts are said to be harder. great company with good warranty! now I can leave one s et up for small, and another set up for large primers. Best way to prep brass
This tool does a great job swaging the primer pockets, making it easier to load cases with new primers. The brass does get stuck on the swaging post, and is difficult to remove. A light spray of One Shot or similar lubes will alleviate the problems of brass being hard to remove. RCBS FOR QUALITY
I have been using RCBS loading equipment fir 45 years. Rock chucker bullet swag excellent quality, serviceability, reasonable price. I'm still using dies from 45 years ago. I still use my original bullet press. I bought this die Swagger set because I'm using 223/556 military brass that has to be decapped and the primer hole reformed. If you reload military brass this set is perfect in my first set it paid for itself in just the brass I swaged, Highly recommend adding this to your inventory but, it is an RCBS so it is designed for an RCBS press but, it works with others also. Great Time Saver
This handy die is much less expensive than stand along swagger. The die and attachments arrived in a SEALED RCBS (one of the best around) green box with all parts present. Parts bag was in the case and unopened. I am really happy to have this. I have swagged a couple thousand Lake City 5.56 brass cases by hand and I tell you that using the die saves a ton of time plus wear and tear on your wrists and fingers. perfect tool for the job
I picked up about 170 223 brass at the shooting range all had a crimped primer. I bought this pocket swager and used my RCBS press and ran all 170 brass through it in no time at all.
