does the job basic but can modify in future to make better.
tow bars are the weakes point will probably need to build a stronger tow bar in the future and build in a coupling to prevent the turning motion wearing out the tow bar connecting point to the roller. I would also add a place on the tow bar to put on a little extra weight.
This is a really good roller. However the design of the filler cap means that it hits the roller frame once its put together. This is fixed by putting a spacer onto the filler side of the roller giving the filler cap some clearance from the frame. The roller is metal on metal at the axle which I have covered in grease but really it could do with a roller bearing fitting. A set of instructions for assembly would be good. All in all good value for money.
We are putting our vegetable garden down to grass as we are getting older and cannot dig and tend it like we used to.
The roller is great it toes behind our sit on mower. We have filled it with sand to make it heavier.
Mainly on the price, requires spacer or “Russian nut tightening” that’s putting the nuts on the stretcher bar and tight outwards effectively turning as if a left handed thread pushing the arms outwards to avoid the turning water/sand filler.
...and unfortunately it shows.
This roller has a pronounced seam and the pivots are crude.
The fixing are just about up to the job if you only fill with water but bend under the extra strain if you use sand.
