One of Billy Wilder’s Best comedies looks amazing on Criterion bluray.
Billy Wilder’s classic comedy deserves the very best Bluray transfer & Criterion delivers. A Luminescent Marilyn Monroe - a surprisingly funny Tony Curtis & a hilarious scene stealing Jack Lemmon star in this often hilarious classic comedy. Curtis & Lemmon play musicians on the run from mobsters. They see their chance for escape by joining an all girl jazz band with lead singer Sugar Kane (Monroe) heading for Florida - “the land of millionaires”. Great black & white cinematography incredibly funny dialogue gorgeous costumes for MM - a great score & Monroe’s magic make this one of Wilders best comedies. I’ve seen this film many times & enjoy it more than ever. Thank you Criterion for another superb release
