This product was under £80 on the internet, a saving of £20 over Notcutts, and represents reasonable value for money. The timber used is not that substantial, but in its assembled state the Growhouse is quite sturdy. It was easy to put together, and rather than have it freestanding I have placed it against a fence, with a couple of brackets to stop it being blown away. Because I plan to use it for tomatoes I built a six inch hollow stand for it, into which the growbag will go. This extra height should take care of the likely maximum growth of the plants. The product comes in a flat pack, and in my case everything needed for assembly had been packed. One thing that could have been clearer - the polycarbonate panels (already mounted in their timber frames) have plastic sheets on the sides that are supposed to face outside, but you have to read the instructions before this is made clear. It is to do with UV rays, apparently! It is easy for the bits of plastic to be discarded in the general assembly process.Read full review

Material is flimsier than it used to be. The last one only lasted 4 months before ripping in three different places. Heavy winds it must be said. This one was missing one of the guy loops at the front, so only one line is holding it down at the front. I might get a year out of this, but I have my doubts. I wouldn't bother trying again! Gardman need not be proud of this cover. The first one we had - years ago - lasted us almost 3 years. Poor quality to save money!

I have to SY I wa svery surprised by how well this was manufactured. Everything fits to together easily and the instructions are straightforward. I think the suppliers need to come up with a better picture/s to really do it justice. I thought for the price is was good value. The wood is pretreated, but (like the picture here) you may wish to add colour yourself as it doesn't arrive brown (anther reason for better pictures). Delivery was quicker than was quoted,by a few days. All in all it's a good buy.

This comes as a flat pack with the polycarbonate glazing already in each panel. I took the prefitted hinges off the doors and roof panel and painted all the woodwork with Cuprinol Garden Shades paint which brightened it up considerably and helped it match the planters in my garden. If I did it again, I'd mask off the glazing before painting, since it is much harder to scrape paint off polycarbonate than glass without damaging it. Assembly was straightforward, but if you struggle with flatpacks from IKEA, you'd really struggle here as the step-by-step instructions are written and the few illustrations are difficult to match with some of the parts. The coldframe comes with two shelves which makes the most of the room inside. I'd have liked to see a third shelf for the bottom of the frame - I may make one myself in any case - to keep pots and seed trays off the ground. I'm yet to put it outside by will need to find some way to secure it from strong winds.Read full review

Good size, fairly sturdy. The top of ours cracked on the first day when a squirrel jumped on it, so we've reinforced it with clear plastic as a second layer to protect it
