Many buyers on Amazon hated it because it went rusty on them If they had followed the seasoning instructions prior to using it for the first time, they would have experienced no problems whatsoever. The price and quality are amazing and food cooks just great. Cast Iron Casserole Dish
This is a very good product, heavy, as is all proper cast iron cookware. There are no flaws in the dish and although it came pre-seasoned I found pre-seasoning before use was easy. I am nickel allergic and that means a special diet for me which also encumbrances every part of my life. I bought a ceramic coated pot that lasted less than 3 months and that was with looking after it well. I look forward to getting many years out of this product in line with my other cast iron griddle, that with care has lasted over 30 years. I consider this item to be well priced for the workmanship that has gone into it. It was also delivered to my door, so I didn't have to carry it home. I accept that the dish is heavy and adjust my cooking to allow for this as it is versatile and will be used mainly for the top cooking as then I won't have to worry about lifting it from the oven.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good sized Casserole Dish
This is a very heavy Dish that can be used on cooker top for starting the casserole, then popped straight into the oven. Cooks very evenly due to good heat distribution. You need to prime the dish first by painting on oil and heating in the oven. There are good instructions which come with it and you should follow these. If the dish is looked after, it will last a life time. The dish was very well packed and even dispatched on Sunday, the day I ordered it!
