Works well
I bought this to convert my old mountain bike into an electric bike. Fitting although i took my time and was upgrading brakes, gears and cables at the same, i was surprised how easy it was. Although, the hardest part was taking the crank arm off for the sensor as it was really stuck.. Fitting the wheel, it slipped into the drop outs perfect.. I added two torque arms for safety and the C washers provided with the torque arms, sadly some dremmel work needed there to make them fit, although this had nothing to do with this kit. Wiring went smoothly, taking my time with the routing before committing the plastic spiral covering. You cant go wrong with the plugs. Adding the brake levers and throttle was easy.. I also renewed my gear selectors to the rotary type, just to have a cleaner look, as the handlebars are cluttered enough.. I choose to buy a bigger frame bag as my bottle battery would not fit the bottle bracket. This had the advantage of being able to fit the battery extra wiring and controller, at a squeeze. It goes pretty good, if you want on roads that allow it, you can take it upto the max 22mph they quote. Otherwise keep legal with the blue wires. This is a brilliant upgrade and for your average handy man, cyclist.. should not pose many problems fitting. Infact all of the minor adjustments to make this work, were not related to anything in this kit. I am very happy with my purchase so far.. as long as it lasts it will be money well spent. As an aside, it used to take me 8 minutes to get to work on my motorbike.. now its 10 minutes on my conversion.. not a lot of difference.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Makes a usable e bike.
Wheel and Controller come as a complete kit. Front wheel easier to fit than rear. 500W is just the right amount of power. With a 48V battery it has a huge range.......over 30 miles with some pedalling. Thumb throttle is easy to use. Good for road and trails.

Bought my 5th wheel and they are excellent value compared to others of similar type. 500w and the 1000w wheel are exactly the same wheel. Only the controller is different. The 1500w is the best of the lot and has 2 versions. One with controller built into the wheel and one with controller separate. The one with controller built into the wheel is by far the best of them all and has an LCD DISPLAY that allows you to set speed and the power you want. Voilamart 500w electric cycle conversion kit for 26" wheel
Great piece of kit to cheaply convert any old 26" wheel cycle to electric powered cycle for a fraction of the cost. Fitting motor plus wires and battery ( which doesn't come with kit) took a couple of hours to have it up and running. Torque on the motor is fantastic and will easily power you up the steepest of hills . The throttle control is also brilliant and will power you up gentle gradients without peddling . I would suggest anyone wanting to do this , should definitely have a go because its almost impossible to wire to wrong place as connectors are specific. I would suggest that a 15 Amp battery be used to give approx 25-30 miles because this powerful motor uses alot of power.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent ebike wheel kit
I bought this to replace a 2 year old Imortor wheel that had failed and I have to say its much better and below half the price! Pretty easy to fit, there's hardly any drag when its switched off and you can move off from a standstill, unlike the Imortor. It was installed on a full custom cruiser bike with springer forks and I hid all the wiring and battery inside a leather motorbike tool bag under the saddle which makes the installation very neat. I got the 500W version which has plenty enough power for me and doesn't require huge, heavy and very expensive batteries. I already had 36V batteries from the previous wheel mentioned so it was an easy choice. It gets up the steepest hill and will do at least 25mph on the flat.

Easy install and great fun
Had this on my mountain bike for 2 weeks and found it really easy to set up, after riding with thumb throttle on very lightly to get the speed I could peddle at it is really quite good . If you connect the 2 thin blue wires together for a slower speed I found it to be to slow so I fitted an in line switch to them and put it on Handel bars so if I want a workout I ride bike on slower speed and when I want a bit of fun I switch to throttle and pick my own speed all in all a great kit for the price.great funVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great kit ,think it will never be possible to fit a disc brake will change the forks to a V brake set up as their is no room for a caliper if you space of the disc it hits the forks mine was a disc brake bike so should have been easy ,worth doing a fork swap as the power is good the other suprise was how heavy the wheel is .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
