  • Amazing value compared to a new board

PCB is a weak point apparently, this fixed it instantly. careful to connect correctly, one wire at a time and don't forget the spark lead. Amazing value compared to a new board, and at this price worth stocking a spare. Says reconditioned but looked brand new to me

  • Excellent quality replacement for a Potterton OEM board

Why would you spend £180 - £220 for another Potterton OEM PCB with dry solder joints and electrolytic capacitors that are under-spec and fail? That's right - you wouldn't if you could buy one with the same functional spec and good quality construction for £56. I fitted it to a Potterton 100E (not in the list, but they also have 407677 boards) and it's pretty much plug-n-play. Turn off the power, take pictures on your phone of where the PCB wires go, gently prise the board off of the PCB support posts and disconnect the wires, refit in the reverse order. One comment - the two white wires to the thermostat could be marked so you know which way around they go (but perhaps it doesn't matter?). The old black plastic cover on the 407677 didn't fit the new board, but it doesn't really matter if it's installed without one (you won't find covers on the PCB's in your TV or laptop). After refitting the boiler fired up straight away with a nice blue flame (and seems to be burning better than before - but that could be wishful thinking?), At £56 it's almost worth having one as a spare?

  • Excellent value compared to potterton original and hopefully just as good

Bought this as a spare. These have been known to a weakness in an otherwise reliable boiler. So it has not yet been fitted, however it is identical to the original and appears brand new. I rate it as good value at this price even though I hope not to have to fit it

  • Easy to install, but don't expect any help from supplier

Delivered promptly and was easy to install. However this replacement differed from the original Baxi PCB. There are 2 white cables which connect to the Boiler thermostat and it wasn't clear which way round they should be plugged in. I did query this with the supplier, but did not get a response so I have reduced my rating by one star. I guessed that as they were both white it did not matter in which way they were connected and I was either correct or lucky as this PCB worked fine.

  • Life saver

Had a Potterton 30e boiler playing up and not igniting when it should . Was worrying as it was just gas coming out . Upon research people said to try the pcb . Bought one and fitted it (mostly it’s plug and play with the exception of a few wires needing to be snipped and joined) so far it’s been working great! That combined with a hive system (so I can monitor it if it came on when I’m away ) it’s been spot on so far . The cover from the original doesn’t fit the new circuit board but as things like TVs don’t have covers this doesn’t need one either .

  • Good replacement for an old genuine Potterton board

The Potterton Profile is like the Morris Minor of boilers. Parts are generally still available and they keep on working for decades as long as you maintain them. Parts are getting a tad dear now but thankfully bargains like this board are available if you look for them. Worked a treat straight away. Same connections and mountings s the original 30 year old board, and if it works for a coule of years, well worth the money.

  • Good replacement part for Potterton Profile 50e Netaheat

Fast delivery. Great replacement for Potterton Profile 50e Netaheat control pcb. Worked first time, easy to fit. Keeps our 31+ year old boiler going. So far so good, had it for about 3 weeks so far.

  • potterton pcb

easy to fit and did the job, the sympton was pilot igniting but not the main burner and no power to main gas solenoid during ignition cycle..

  • As described

Original used pcb - relatively easy to fit and works well. Incredible value and arrived fairly promptly. This boiler just seems to go on and on

  • Great replacement at a fraction of the cost!

A fraction of the cost of a 'new' PCB and works just as well. It replaces a 14 year old unit which had become 'temperamental' owing to poor soldered joints. If this one lasts as long I'll be delighted.
