Great when you need to cover large/difficult houses with high speeds and easy setup.
A little pricey, but sometimes you have to pay to play. I started with a 2-unit orbi kit and it had great speeds in some areas, but couldn't reach certain spots where it was needed most, struggling with the vertical offsets in my split-level house. wanting good coverage on all 3 floors and outside enough to support security camera's I exchanged it for the 3-unit kit and it's been great. I'm getting 250-350mbps pretty much everywhere inside, and about 150-200 out on the patio, garage, doorbell, etc. I previously was using the router provided by verizon fios and their add-on extender for $100 but devices would not roam to the extender and held on to the weak signal from the router across the house. the slow-downs and drop-outs were so frustrating I decided to aim for overkill and the orbi kit has been just that. awesome speed and coverage everywhere. sometimes there is a slight delay while devices roam or are directed to another AP but once they sync up it screams.
