I have played golf for over 50 years. I have a singIe digit handicap. I have played pro v1 golf balls for the last few years. A month ago a buddy of mine threw me a golf ball and said try this one. I said Wilson Staff. I haven't played a Wilson ball for thirty years. I hit it off the tee it has great ball flight, gained 10 to 20 yards off the tee. The ball has a good feel off the putter blade. Wilson Staff Zip golf balls
I usually play Titletist Velocity or Pro V1 golf balls. I was pleasantly surprised when I played the Wilson Staff Zip golf ball today. It has very good distance, lower spin to keep it straight, but I was able to get iron shots to check up or spin back with little effort. In fact, I had to adjust my swing and release expectations to adjust for the great checkup of this ball. I didn't think the ball felt overly soft and the ball flight was very similar to the Titleist balls. I had bought some Callaway Chrome Soft balls and was very disappointed in the way they felt and ball flight characteristics. Overall, I would give the Wilson Staff Zip ball an "Excellent" score for playability and distance along with an "Outstanding" rating for price points....Lot of ball for the bang. I will continue to play this ball until something comes along that surpassed the Zip ball.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
