Great idea - needs to be sun proofed!
This is a great concept and seems to work very well (two seasons without wasps robbing my beehives). Quite a test! However, I’m now on my fifth waspinator having had the previous versions (in partial shade) disintegrate due to sun damage. The hanger also needs to be stronger - usually breaks off in the first strong gale. Still, the best option available in my circumstances.

Disappointed.
Purchased a similar product last year. Surprised it was so successful. Normally wasps were never found in the conservatory. The few that did arrive, got very angry attempting to escape. They almost died in their attempts to escape. This version was very disappointing. Several wasps came into conservatory and none seemed worried about leaving. Tried to redo waspinator but it made no difference. It looks like a return to fly spray and a newspaper.

I have had one for years and it really works.
This really works. I have used one of these for many years and used it at various locations. Camping, garden, garage, barbecues and even in my loft, it has kept the wasps at bay. I have stuffed mine with old carrier bags which gives it a nice sturdy shape. My only criticism is the material is quite papery so doesn't, last long especially if it gets wet. Due to the great affordable price and no nasty sprays or chemicals involved, I just get another one when mine gives up! Great product and easy to store when not required.

I hung this a few weeks ago about 6' from a wasp nest but it has had no deterrent effect at all. Perhaps the incumbent wasps are just too settled in... 3 stars because maybe if I'd used it sooner when I first noticed wasps it may have worked; will try next summer.

Believe the hype -it DOES WORK!
The secret is to hang by April when the Wasp Queens are looking to nest. Waspinator will prevent them building in your location. By Summer Wasps will avoid Waspinator area like the plague. We have used them for years (we replace & relocate every year) - they do work. Pad out with bubble wrap & reshape. Also if you have a large space hang several eg for 1 per 60Sq/M. Outdoor BBQs, fizzy drinks - absolutely no problem at all.

Didn’t work for me
I have read some positive reviews about this product which is why I bought it to rid my plum tree of wasps but it made no difference at all. Followed all the instructions perfectly and checked to ensure that there was not an existing nest already in situ. Total waste of money.

What Wasps
Waspinators really do help to keep dreaded wasps at bay I have used them for 2 years now unfortunately the gales we had in winter has destroyed a couple but have bought more and will continue to use them my plums are happy I would highly recommend .x.
