  • Great Tire BUT

I really like the tire in that it rolls great and it is light weight. But it's reliability makes it a liability unless you are racing or riding on smooth roads. Fortunately I have not had any problems with the tires here in my local Maryland/Annapolis riding area. But for two years in a row I had blowouts riding these tires in rural Ohio on a tour called the Great Ohio Bike Adventure. In both cases the tires were new with less than 500 miles on them. The sidewalls tore open causing the tubes to blow. I fixed both tires after I got home with Gorilla Tape and have been able to get more miles out of them for my local riding. If I ride any future GOBAs I will use other tires that have tougher sidewalls. I am sure that they will be heavier and will not roll as well but at least I will probably be able to complete the tour without a blowout.

  • Reliable Daily Tire On Chicago Streets.

I have purchased my third set of these GP4000SII tires. I weigh 190-200lbs without gear. I ride the streets of chicago(decent but tons of debris like glass, loose asphalt, sticks etc) Front tire is always 700cx23 and rear is 700cx25. I have had maybe 2 flats in the last 2 seasons of riding. One was going over a pot hole at night so not really the tires fault. These are tough and super fast. Great all around tire for a fast rider. Bike- Carbon planet x track frame, 60mm carbon wheels, "single speed is all you need"

  • Too soon to know the long term

I am age 50 and weigh 240 lbs... so need a durable tire, been using the Endurance Michelin and like it for mix of puncture resistance, 25c being more comfortable than 23c size and low rolling resistance. Only been on 3 rides with the new tire on dry pavement but it feels fast and light so far. Will revise this if turns out the be durable like the Endurance, which is slightly heavier and higher rolling resistance.

  • Fast rolling confident tires

Excellent traction and road feel with these tires. They give me confidence on all road surfaces. The puncture protection has been excellent as I've been flat free for over 2k miles. They also seem to roll faster than my previous brand which is always a plus. Highly recommend these tires!

  • Sweet..

I usually ride early mornings, before the sun rises, on a local beach's bicycle path. It's usually deserted at this time of day and allows me to ride at speed, without the threat of vehicles - it also means that the pathway has some sand and debris on it from the previous days activities. Since installing these tires from a Bontrager tire, my confidence and sense of security through the curves on the pathway, has grown some. These tires do grip and I appreciate the wear indicators, too!

  • Great tire with fast speed and less rolling resistance.

These tires on my Cannondale Road Bike are lightweight and roll with little to no resistance. They are faster than my previous tires. They are thin walled so flats could be greater concern. The price point is about the same as all other high-end tires. I choose the 700c x 25mm.

  • Great for daily rides

This seems like a very sturdy comfortable tire for daily riding on somewhat bad roads. Seems to be quite resistant to punctures which was a big issue for me before. However seems like a tad slower than the 23's that I was used to. Not sure if it is just in my mind but reasonably sure of it. Otherwise super great.
