    Almost sugar!

Yes pretty good alternative to granulated sugar ,looks very similar with no noticeable after taste. Not quite the overall sweetness of normal sugar so you need a little more in coffee,on cereal etc but a worthwhile alternative. I think the "Dragons" were right to invest.

Nice concept for natural low cal sugar but costly!

There is no doubting (for me anyway) that this product doesn't have an after-taste, and seems natural ingredients. Alas, after having 1 teaspoon of Puresweet in coffee, I did have a side effect with rumbling stomach and again with second coffee an hour later. I did email the Director of Puresweet to ask questions about the ingredients, as a note on pack said not to eat in excess (I only had 1 teaspoon in 2 coffees) as it could cause a laxative effect, but was assured that it was safe to take. It can be used for baking but it would be too costly. I've not used Puresweet since my 2 coffees.

  • Great product but not worth it for us

Dragons' Den rated it highly so we tried it. It is apparently incredibly better for your health than sugar. It is obviously much more expensive than sugar, but would be well worth it for us if undetectable in tea & coffee. Unfortunately we personally found it had an aftertaste in tea & coffee. If we used a lot of sugar making jam, cakes etc, (which we don't) we'd certainly try it as an ingredient and it might be undetectable. For us, for hot drinks, it would be better just to force ourselves to cut down on the amount of sugar!

  • Good effort, but needs improvement

First taste suggested this a good replacement for sugar, but not quite. So increased the amount little by little, but surprisingly no sweeter, though it did increase a slightly unpleasant taste. I carried on to finish the bag, but always aware of this bad taste. Overall better than the likes of saccharin and aspartame, but I wouldn't be able to live with the taste. Back to sugar I'm afraid...

  • Does what it says on the tin.

Just like sugar. No aftertaste. Need to use more than normal sugar. Good stuff.

  • Good product, just a little expensive

My daughter has just been diagnosed with diabetes, she has tried other sweeteners but she finds them bitter. Pure sweet is the best she has tried, you need more spoonfuls than normal sugar, it is like normal sugar to taste. We feel it is a little expensive , but worth it for a normal cup of tea.

  • Disappointed

We saw the product on tv so tried it. Very disappointed extremely expensive plus you need double the amount for flavor and I did find it left a nasty after taste. We ended up throwing it away.

  • Fell for the tagline "tastes like sugar"

I saw this product on dragons den and thought as all dragons wanted to invest after tasting it, that it actually did taste like sugar.... but sadly it doesn't. I'm just adding it to a long line of sweeteners that I don't like

  • Sweetener without sugar

Having tried this brand once, and only in one dish so far, my opinion is it is a good sweetener, but I am having difficulty knowing which substance is being employed. The label does not state it. It works, however.
