    For bmw 318d

Had the usual crunchy gear box. It was so bad I was considering a new clutch even tho this one was changed only 20k ago. 1st 2nd and 3rd were terrible. Up and down. Now 1st 50% better, 2nd 80% better, 3rd as smooth as silk. Had BMW OEM gear oil changed with clutch. Rubbish stuff. I noticed an improvement within 10 miles, but now I've done about 500 it's excellent. Very very happy. Any body that has a 318d e91 it takes 1.6ltr. Very easy to do.

  • Most critical review

I saw red! Total rubiish product.

I had a VW golf tdi 2006 which had 150K and I thought it was probably time I did a gear box oil change. I ordered this after reading the reviews, As soon as placed this into the gearbox it started to whine, I rechecked the oil level all was fine. But the whine just got worse. I then decided to drain and refill with VW original oil and the whine was no longer present. Total waste of £50 and the enviroment did not benefit either. Total waste of money. The same ocurred with a Ford Escort mk3. I had to drain and refill with an oil costing half the price and the noise was eliminated.

  • Lives up to my best expectations

Bought this for my Fiat X1/9 after reading many positive reviews and recommendations from other owners. Noticed an immediate difference in ease of gear changes when cold and now, after about 150 miles, the overall improvement is remarkable. Yes, it is expensive compared to the mineral oil I used before but on my experience so far, it is well worth it.

  • Lotus M100 gearbox oil change

The best product for my car's gearbox. Simply superb. Costs a bit more but it is well worth paying. Ab....

  • Redline MTL gear oil

Made a good improvement to the gear shift on my 120000 mile BMW. Whilst it cannot solve every problem, this oil is recommended for BMW gearboxes that are not shifting smoothly. It has made quite a difference.

  • The best oil for your gearbox

Was recommended as the best oil for my Volvo, not the cheapest but if you only change every 50k it’s worth getting the best! Noticed smoother gearchanges and slightly quieter gearbox.

  • Worth the cost

Not cheap but this oil has changed the feel of the gearbox on my Caterham massively.

  • MTL is very expensive and as such is probably the best.

This oil has made my gearbox I bit quieter. It's expensive.

  • The best oil for the GM F40 gearbox

Is a much better oil for the problematic General Motors/FIAT/SAAB F40 6 speed gearbox (as opposed to the recommended 75W-90) and greatly improves gear change both speed and feel particularly in the colder months.
